BE IN LOVE

Happy Valentine’s Day.

I’m here to talk about being in love. Be in love with your craft. Over and over I keep talking about currency. Currency is the one thing that YOU bring to the world that’s special that no one else can quite like you. It make take awhile to discover it or you might have known as long as you can remember, but everyone’s got something. I’m here to tell you that after you’re lucky enough to find it… fall. in love. that’s right. Fall in love with your gift like its a poster on your wall when you were 13 years old.

Having the dream in your heart is key.

The emotional attachment to your goals is absolutely necessary. When you want something you want something and there is no denying it! How do you nurture that? You probably already love things you’re good at. The best way to help your currency flourish is to express that feeling. Don’t just let your talent shine; let your FEELINGS for your talent shine too. By cultivating your surroundings you can also cultivate your love for it.

When you love something you look for it everywhere.

Fill you feed. This means everywhere you look, in your news feed or in the shows you watch or in the people you hang out with, that should all be a reflection of what you’re trying to get to. Do you want to be a hip hop dancer? Then your stream should be full of dancing videos, you should follow dancers who have made it, you should watch shows about it, read books by people who have accomplished what you hope to, and so forth. Do your homework. Have it in your face nearly nonstop.

Fantasize about your goal like its your hottest teen crush.

Fantasies are great because they can help you picture what it would be like to achieve your goal. Picturing your goal as clearly as possible is one of the most important things you can do to help you reach your goal. Picture it down to that last detail. What are you wearing? Who is with you? What hand is holding the trophy, or whatever physical representation there is for your goal.

Where is your celebration dinner? What song will you blast on your way back home? Who will you call first? Where will your driver take you last? What dessert will you slip into your mouth that will be sweeter than it has ever been before? Get the picture? Fantasize about every detail, your brain won’t know the difference and will make you do things in order to realize that picture.

I’m here to tell you that picturing what you want, falling in love with it, and fantasizing about it in exasperating detail will bring your goal closer sooner than you ever imagined.
