The Golden Time Zone

What is the magical amount of time in which you can accomplish almost anything? 2 months? 2 weeks? It needs to be long enough so that you can accomplish something real and tangible and not just apply a quick fix but short enough to keep you hungry. What is your golden time zone? Mine is about 7 weeks. In 7 weeks, I have done everything from moved to another country where I didn’t know anybody, to losing 20 pounds, to learning a new language, and I’m a late sleeper. Imagine what you could do in that time. Maybe your golden time zone is 4 weeks? 3 months? While you can’t accomplish everything you ever wanted to in that time frame you CAN set one of your goals or one PART of your larger goals in front of you and go after that in full force. What is your golden Time zone? This is a great motivational strategy and I like the idea of going about my day with a tune or a phrase or saying that represents what I want to accomplish. Perhaps your goal would be a new job in 8 weeks. One that will ultimately lead to an 8-figure salary. What daily plan could you put in place that would get you there? Could you have 4 job interviews in that time? Maybe you want to become an expert cake baker in time for wedding season. In several months you could take an online course on cake baking and decorating, accumulate or get access to the equipment needed for high-end baking, even something used works if you don’t have a lot of money, start studying techniques and recipes, and practice with smaller things like cupcakes. If one of your friends or family has a post-quarantine birthday coming up you could offer to make the cake for them and get them to taste samples along the way. This is all making me hungry. If you want to find your golden time zone, go back and think about all the times when you have accomplished what seemed impossible to others in a short period. That tends to be your sweet spot give or take a few days or weeks. Once you find your golden time zone there is literally nothing you cannot accomplish.
